We believe in

God, who Himself is the truth

God, who Himself is the truth and speaks only the truth, has inspired the Holy Scriptures in order to reveal to sinful humanity the way of salvation through Jesus Christ. The Holy Scriptures are the very written Word of God.

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work"

2 Timothy 3:16-17

We confess

The Scripture, which is the Word of God Himself

The Scripture, although written by people prepared by the Holy Spirit, has as its author God Himself. It is therefore infallible and of supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice.

"For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit"

2 Peter 1:21

We know

The Holy Spirit, the Divine Author of Scripture

The Holy Spirit bears witness to and through the Holy Scriptures, which are the testimony of God concerning Himself. He enlightens the minds of believers and opens up the meaning of the Word of God.

"Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures"

Luke 24:45

Statement

The total divine faultlessness of Scripture

If the total divine faultlessness of Scripture is in any way limited or disregarded, or made relative to a view of truth contrary to the Bible's own, then the Holy Scripture as the basis for authority and the guide to faith and practice is weakened.

"Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation"
